Traditional household practices among the womenfolk of Boko Area

The Tribal Study Centre (TSC) organized a Seminar on 09-06-2023 in the college auditorium at 10.30 AM. on the topic “Traditional household practices among the womenfolk of Boko Area”. Two research paper was presented in the Seminar. Sri Dhanmoni Boro, a Student of Anthropology Major presented the paper on titled “Different Sub-branches of Rabha Community”. Mrs. Ratnamala Sharma, Asst. Prof. of English Dept., presented the paper on “Traditional household practices among the womenfolk of Boko area”.Bothe the paper were followed by active interaction by the perticipants

Dr. U. C. Goswami, Prof. Gauhati University and Member of Governing Body of our College inaugurated the Seminar. In his speech he gave emphasis on the opening of a Blood- Bank and Gene –Bank in the College under TSC which will enable the researcher to find out the various causes of tribal changes. He also asserted the participant to work actively on this field. The Dignitaries present in the function expressed appreciation on the venture of TSC.

48th Foundation day of J.N.College, Boko

The 48th Foundation Day of the college is celebrated in the college campus on 3rd August with a daylong programme.On this auspicious occasion the IQAC of the college organized a popular talk. Taking the responsibility of the speaker person, Major Anil Sirohi of the 9th Sikhli regiment of Indian Army deliver his valuable speech on the Prospects and Job Opportunities in Indian Army. Dignitaries’ from the local area and the Student’s present in the house actively participated in the interaction programme with the resource person and greatly inspired.
